Dr. Bret Shaw
Dr. Shaw is a 1999 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Elementary Administration at Southwest Missouri State University. You may be surprised to find out that he taught sixth grade in Springfield, Missouri, for four years prior to veterinary school. Dr. Shaw joined Kingsbury Animal Hospital in 2009. In 2014, he acquired the practice from KAH’s founder, Dr. Steve Brammeier. His fields of interest include ophthalmology and internal medicine.
He also enjoys running, camping, hiking, and spending time with his wife, Theresa.
Dr. Seth Williams
Dr. Williams is a born and bred St. Louisan. Dr. Williams completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and went on to study veterinary medicine at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. He is especially passionate about preventative medicine, surgery, nutrition, and strengthening the human-animal bond.
Dr. Williams became the owner of Kingsbury Animal Hospital in 2025. He is passionate about continuing the legacy of KAH built by Dr. Steve Brammeier and Dr. Bret Shaw.
When not practicing, Dr. Williams is an avid ice hockey player and golfer (though he won’t be seen on the PGA tour quite yet) and is a die-hard Miami Hurricanes fan. His family is his most prized possession – he and his wife, Becca, have two young boys. His family is completed with two four-legged children, Cane, the Golden Retriever, and Chase, the Cockapoo.
Dr. Jonathan Tresner
Dr. Tresner grew up in California and earned his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis. He is a 2019 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. His professional interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and dentistry, with a strong focus on helping pets live longer, healthier lives through proactive care.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Tresner enjoys spending time with his family and caring for his ever-growing in-home zoo, which includes two dogs, three cats, two white’s tree frogs, a leopard gecko, a russian tortoise, and fish. He also loves hiking and unwinding with a good horror movie.

She is especially passionate about feline medicine, internal medicine, behavior, and Fear Free handling techniques.
Outside of Kingsbury Animal Hospital Dr. Hart enjoys yoga, cooking, and hiking National Parks with her husband, Dave, who is also a veterinarian. Together they have two children, an All American Dog named Mavis, and a fleet of cats.
