Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked. If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at Kingsbury Animal Hospital.

1. What are the Hospital hours?

Our hospital is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. On Fridays from 9:00am to 4:30pm and Saturdays we are open from 9:00am until 3:00pm. The clinic is closed on Sunday.

2. Do I need to have an appointment?

Yes, patients are seen by appointment only.

3. Are you currently accepting new patients?

Yes. We ask for 3 steps when becoming a new client in any order; all will have to be done before your first appointment.

    • To best serve our clients we ask that all new clients pay a $60 reservation fee at the time of making their first appointment to hold your appointment time.
      The $60 comes off the cost of your appointment and is nonrefundable. You only have to do this for your first visit.

4. What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, Discover, Mastercard, Visa and CareCredit

5. Can I make payments?

Payment is required at the time of service.

8.What if I forget to cancel or No Show for my appointment time?

If you fail to show up for your appointment without informing the clinic, there is a $75 NO SHOW fee that will be charged.

7. At what age can I have my pet spayed or neutered?

Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure. Current vaccinations are required at the time of surgery.

8. How long do the sutures/staples stay in after my pet's surgery?

Procedures involving sutures/staples require them to be removed in 14 days following the surgery.

9.  Is it a good idea to let my pet have at least one litter?

No, there is no advantage to letting your pet have one litter. However there are plenty of advantages to having you pet spayed or neutered. These advantages include decreasing the chances of breast tumors later in life, decreasing the chance of cystic ovaries and uterine infections later in life, decreasing the desire to roam the neighborhood, decreasing the incidence of prostate cancer later in life, helping prevent spraying and marking, and also decreases the surplus of unwanted puppies and kittens.

10. Do you offer pet insurance?

We do not offer pet insurance through our facility and while we at Kingsbury Animal Hospital do not advocate any particular insurance company, you may click here to get more answers on pet insurance and the options that are out there. We as a courtesy to our clients we can help you file claims with your pet insurance company. Please ask our staff for more details.
